SWTOR Release Date is December 20th, 2011

The release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic has been confirmed to be December 20th. Many were speculating that it would be later this year, or sometime early 2012 and it’s nice to see they are going to release it before Christmas. I have pre ordered the game already and look forward to playing it and writing about it once it’s released.

Update on an SWTOR Guide

I thought I should make an update to keep any readers up to date on the progress of this blog. To be fair, the last update was on April 30, however I had expected that SWTOR would have been released by now. Instead the game keeps being pushed back. You can pre order it, but there’s only a limited number of copies available.

I have ordered a pre order copy and I GUARANTEE I will be spilling all my knowledge about the game right here. I will be playing the game a minimum of 5-6 hours a day and devote at least 1 hour a day to developing this site. I have not decided whether I will write a full, comprehensive guide, or just give tips on this blog – that’s to be decided. But whatever happens, I’m sure there will be at least one person why writes a full strategy guide for the game when it comes out. I will be buying/reading any guides out and will be sharing them here.

Like all star wars fans, I’m eager as anything to start playing this.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – The New MMORPG is Looking for Testers

Lucas Arts and Bioware, in their first team-up, are currently developing Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR). This is a massively-multiplayer online RPG which is expected for release this Q2 2011. It will feature characters and classes from the Star Wars universe, 3500 years before the events of the Star Wars films.

Right now, SWTOR is in closed alpha test phase. Interested players need to register and fill-up a questionnaire for eligibility. The creators are looking for those who can give valuable feedback on the gaming details. If you are interested, you can visit www.swtor.com and look for the tester sign-up button.

Sneak peeks reveal the breathtaking graphics and combat of this MMORPG. Players can choose from different classes like the Jedi Knight and Sith Inquisitor, which belong respectively to the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. As of now, a total of 8 job classes are revealed for the game. Players can also participate in extreme space combat with their airships.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – Promising Lush Storytelling and Extreme Gameplay

Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is expected for release on the second quarter of the year. The Alpha Test and signup are currently running, and fans are much excited by the promising MMORPG.

Lucas Arts and Bioware team up for their first venture into the field of RPG. SWTOR features the Galactic Republic, more than 3500 years before the events of the 6 Star Wars films. Players get to choose between the Republic and the Sith Empire in shaping the history of the Universe. The job classes include the Bounty Hunter, Sith Inquisitor, Jedi Knight and Trooper.

Sneak peeks to the game show that the graphics are really breathtaking. Besides the action-packed field combat, players can fight in space with their starships. This happens between trips to familiar planets like Holo and Tatooine. More than a rich story, SWTOR also focuses on team play dynamics. While there are no specific healer, tanker or mage classes, each player can assume these roles.

SWTOR Guide

Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that, once again, features the Star Wars universe. This joint project of Lucas Arts and Bioware is expected to be released on the second quarter of 2011. This is actually Bioware’s first MMORPG title.

With its development started on 2008, SWTOR shows promise of revolutionizing key MMO elements. The storyline is based on the older Galactic Republic, which happened 3500 years before the rise of the strongest Sith, Darth Vader. Players can choose their classes, which are respectively exclusive to the Dark Side or the Light Side of the Force. You can play as Jedi Knight, Trooper, Sith Inquisitor and 5 other classes. In a demo, Lucas Arts and Bioware revealed that each player will receive a Starship. This will enable visiting of planets like Tatooine and Holo. Besides field combat, the player can also engage in breathtaking space fights.

The Old Republic – Star Wars Title Finally Enters MMORPG

The deadline for an SWTOR guide is coming closer every day. Coming this second quarter of 2011, Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is expected to take the Star Wars fans and gaming enthusiasts by storm. The game has started development on 2008 and it is designed for the Windows Platform. SWTOR is based on the Star Wars universe and, on the time line, the events take place 3500 years before the rise of Darth Vader.

It is not your ordinary RPG that allows you to walk on endless fields and slay monsters. SWTOR is story driven. You and your online party members, together with NPC companions, will travel to complete quests and side missions. Each player will be given his/her own starship to travel across planets like Hoth, Belsavis and Tatooine.

You get to choose between the dark side and the light side of the force, and the respective classes like Sith and Jedi Knight. Other than field fighting, you can also experience breathtaking space combat. This tunnel shooting feat was demonstrated on Gamescom.

The Release date for an SWTOR Guide comes closer and closer

Get ready to feel the Force because Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is coming to PC. It is a massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) that will let you experience the Star Wars Universe. Unlike other online RPGs, SWTOR will be story driven. Depending on your preference or personality, you can choose between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, which are the light and dark sides of the Force respectively.

As of now, there are 8 classes confirmed for the game including the Bounty Hunter and Sith Inquisitor for the Sith Empire, and the Jedi Knight and Trooper for the Galactic Republic. In contrast with other MMORPGs, The Old Republic allows every class to assume every role in the party. That means less waiting time for a particular class like healers or tankers.

The cutting edge of SWTOR, when compared to other games, is its immersive story telling. The players will be engaged with creatures and characters that lived 3500 years before the rise of Darth Vader.

Why SWTOR will Be a Fantastic Game

I can’t WAIT for an SWTOR guide to come out. The Star Wars old republic is not like any other routine MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). It has a third person setting that connects to the many components of the game’s surroundings. PvPs (Player vs Player) is always an option in warzones and combat grounds. It can be either Republic vs. Empire or Jedi Knight vs a Sith warlord.  The makers of the game put a large difference regarding its story base campaign that they think that is lacking in MMORPGs.

When starting a campaign in Star Wars : Old Republic, you will choose to either be with the Galactic Republic or the Sith Empire.

Before the year 19BBY when the Galactic Empire was established, the Galactic Republic was the dominant force all around the galaxy for more than twenty-five thousand years.  The Empire’s Goal is to rule the galactic world by defeating its long-time enemies. They seek revenge for their defeat and is preparing for 3 centuries now to strike a comeback.
